RLC: Manually create or fix Release Control Deployment Log reports (PART 3: Deployment Log reports)

Description

If your RLC Deployment Log reports are missing or incomplete, you can manually create or fix them. 

 

NOTE: You will also need to create or update the reports as described in KB S142151 (PART 1: Regular Reports) and KB S142124 (PART 2: Deployment Unit reports).

 

The following reports must be created: 

  • RLC Deployment Log 
  • RLC Deployment Items Execution Log for Deployment Path 
  • RLC DU Execution Log 
  • RLC Deployment Units for Environment 

Resolution

 To create or modify the reports:

  1. In the Release Control application group navigation area, click Reports.
  2. In the content area Search box, filter reports by entering a search string, such as RLC.
  3. Use the following information to create or modify the reports as needed.

 

 

 

RLC Deployment Log 

  1. Create a listing report using the following settings:
    • Content, Report Item Type: RLC Deployment Log
    • Content, Select Columns to Display:
      • Start Time
      • End Time
      • Execution Type
      • Execution Status
      • Path Element ID
      • Environment ID
      • QA Result
      • QA Result Time
      • Parent TC ID
      • Source TC Execution ID
      • Task Collection ID
    • Search Filter, Use Basic Conditions: Deployment Task ID contains (Query At Runtime)
    • Sorting, Sort by: Start Time, Ascending; select Enable Dynamic Column Sorting
  2. Save the report as follows:
    • Title: RLC Deployment Log for Release Package
    • Privilege Category: Guest
    • Reference Name: RLC.DeploymentLogByTCID

RLC Deployment Items Execution Log for Deployment Path 

  1. Create a listing report using the following settings:
    • Content, Report Item Type: RLC DU Execution Log
    • Content, Select Columns to Display:
      • Deployment Unit
      • Configuration
      • Type
      • Release Package
      • Task
      • Task Execution Status
      • Start Time
      • End Time
    • Search Filter, Use Basic Conditions:
      • Task Collection Execution ID like (Query At Runtime) and
      • Group Id contains (Query At Runtime) and
      • Environment TTID like (Query At Runtime)
    • Sorting: Select Enable Dynamic Column Sorting
  2. Save the report as follows:
    • Title: RLC Deployment Items Execution Log for Deployment Path
    • Privilege Category: Guest
    • Reference Name: IesForDpExecution

RLC DU Execution Log

This table has been deprecated, but may still be used if you upgraded without promoting the latest process apps. If you are using the process apps for 6.2 or later, see the instructions for the RLC Deployment Items Execution Log for Deployment Path report.

  1. Create a listing report using the following settings:
    • Content, Report Item Type: RLC DU Execution Log
    • Content, Select Columns to Display:
      • Deployment Unit
      • Configuration
      • Type
      • Release Package
      • Task
      • Task Execution Status
      • Start Time
      • End Time
    • Search Filter, Use Basic Conditions:
      • Task Collection Execution ID like (Query At Runtime) and
      • Environment TTID like (Query At Runtime)
    • Sorting: Select Enable Dynamic Column Sorting
  2. Save the report as follows:
    • Title: RLC DU Execution Log for Deployment Path
    • Privilege Category: Guest
    • Reference Name: DusForDpExecution

RLC Deployment Units for Environment

  1. Create a listing report using the following settings:
    • Content, Report Item Type: RLC DU Execution Log
    • Content, Select Columns to Display:
      • Deployment Unit
      • Release Package
      • Task Execution Status
      • End Time
      • Release Engineer
    • Search Filter, Use Basic Conditions: (none)
    • Sorting: Select Enable Dynamic Column Sorting
  2. Save the report as follows:
    • Title: RLC Deployment Units for Environment
    • Privilege Category: Guest
    • Reference Name: RLC.DUsForEnvironment
