RLC: How to manually create or update reports for Release Control 6.2 (PART 2: Deployment unit view does not load)

When upgrading to Release Control 6.2 without promoting the new snapshots, you won’t get the latest reports. Without the new reports, when you try to view deployment units, you will see a blank page with a spinner, and the view cannot load.


You will also need to create or update the reports as described in KB S142151 (PART 1: Regular Reports) and KB S142152 (PART 3: Deployment Log reports).

If you are upgrading from RLC 6.0.x, you will also need to create or update the reports as described in KB S141595.


Do the following:

1. Copy the attached RLCViews.xml file to the following directory, replacing the existing file:

Program Files\Serena\SBM\Application Engine\ViewDefinitions

2. Do one of the following:

Navigate to the application environment bin directory and execute ttadmin.exe /GenerateViews


Restart IIS
