Description

PVCS Version Manager Server Admin (vpadmin) indicates there is a legacy Tomcat ISAPI Filter that should be removed:

However, pressing the Remove integration from site button yields the following error:

How can this be fixed?

Resolution

This error can happen if the IIS configuration was changed by hand, or the VM installation was (re)moved after IIS was configured using a pre-VM 8.6.0 release.

To solve, try one of the following:

  • Fix the incorrect location of the web.config file from Internet Informaton Services (IIS) Manager:

    1. Go to the web site being used (e.g. Default Web Site) and select the jakarta folder.

    2. Peform a right-click | Basic settings on the Configuration Editor:

    3. Edit Physical path so it points to the directory having the web.config file:

This is typicallly INSTALL_DIR\vm\common\tomcat\bin\win32 where INSTALL_DIR is the directory where the pre-VM 8.6.1 release was installed.

    4. Return to PVCS Version Manager Server Admin (vpadmin) and press Remove integration from site

  • Manally remove the integration from Internet Informaton Services (IIS) Manager:

    1. Go to the web site being used (e.g. Default Web Site) and use right-click | Remove on the virtual directories:

      • jakarta
      • vminet_books
      • vminet_images
      • vminet_temp

    2. Return to PVCS Version Manager Server Admin (vpadmin) and press Remove integration from site
