RLC: If any plugins had no configurations before upgrading, Release Control Administration cannot display plugin information

Description

If any plugins had no configurations before upgrading, Release Control Administration cannot display plugin information and an error similar to the following example appears in rlc.log:
Context initialization failed

Error creating bean with name 'upgradeOldPlugins': Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is java.lang.IllegalStateException: There is no provider type BASE in provider ProviderPlugin [ id=10005 name=Jenkins]

Resolution

To fix this, you must delete the entry for the plugin from the Release Control provider plugin table as follows:

  1. Execute the following SQL statement:

     

    DELETE FROM RLC_PROVIDER_PLUGIN WHERE ID NOT IN (SELECT PROVIDER_PLUGIN_ID FROM RLC_PROVIDER_TYPE WHERE PROVIDER_PLUGIN_ID IS NOT NULL);

     

  2. Restart SBM Tomcat.
