Description

The use case goes like this:
- Release Package has 2 tasks, for example: Promote ZMF Package and a manual task.
- The ZMF promote fails.
- The users fix the ZMF side.
- On the Release Package, use Retry to try the deploy again.
- ZMF completes, but he manual task always says "FAILED".
When hover over the message, it says "No execution id found. Transition 'RETRY' is not possible" or "Invalid or unavailable transition: RETRY"

If you try to use the manual task, you will see an error such as:
Error occurred during web service invocation:
SOAP Fault Code: soap:Server
SOAP Fault String: There is no TaskExecution with id: 1081:2/0c150e09-8872-4786-94e1-0e6e6fc33a1a

When you do a Retry on the Release Package, Manual Tasks should use the option chosen as the Submit transition, if an SBM item has not yet been submitted. It should use the Retry transition, if an SBM item has already been submitted.

Resolution

Workaround: When creating the manual task, set the Retry option to "none". You can encourage users to select "none" by changing the SBM Provider configuration so the Execution-Transition value is "Do Not Use". When this is setup, the user will only have two options for the Retry value: None and Do Not Use.
