If you are an Oracle TeamTrack customer and looking to upgrade directly to Serena Business Mashups 2008 2.03, 2.04, 2.05 or 2009 R1 then there is a potential for data loss. Please check the following criteria:

(a) Is your TeamTrack database on Oracle?

(b) Are you planning on upgrading from TeamTrack 6.6.1 to Serena Business Mashups 2008 2.03, 2.04, 2.05 or 2009 R1

If both of the above are true then it is likely that you will experience data loss on the database upgrade.

Workaround: When upgrading from TeamTrack the Unicode Upgrade Utility is a one-off utility run so to avoid this issue upgrade your database to 2008 R2 first and only then apply the patch or upgrade to 2009 R1(first GA build - no longer available for download).

If you have already upgraded from TeamTrack 6.6.1 to Serena Business Mashups 2008 2.03, 2.04, 2.05 or 2009 R1(first GA build)  then please backout to 6.6.1 if possible. If this is not possible then please contact Support who will help advise you how to recover any data loss.

Fixed in: Please note that this is fixed in 2008 2.06 and the latest 2009 R1 GA rebuild that can be downloaded from the support site.
