As a workaround for customers who use Firefox, the "Extended Support Release" of Firefox can be used. Both available ESR versions of Firefox (52 and 45) still support the Java plug-in and can be downloaded via the URL: As with recent Java updates, the URL for the Dimensions common tools should be registered in Java's safe site list.

When running a release of a large baseline, or baseline that contains very large files, the release fails to fetch files out to the client. However, the files can be found in $DM_ROOT/ webtools /tomcat/work/Standalone/localhost/dimensions/XXXXXX.dir on the server, where XXXXXX is some random string

NOTE: You must have started the Tomcat server at least once since installing Dimensions 9.1.3 so that the '%DM_ROOT%\ webtools \tomcat\webapps' files are expanded from the '.war' files, before installing this patch on a server.

KM-Dim9: Installer must stop Web Tools Service to upgrade to 9.1.2
|
If the user doesn't stop the Web Tools service before upgrading from 9.1.0 then the 9.1.2 upgrade doesn't correctly apply. The only way to have the 9.1.2 web tools upgrade to take effect (if the web tools are installed as a service) is to 'stop' the service before upgrading. This is not in the installation instructions and customers that installed the web tools as a service will have this issue.

Dimensions 14.3.3 web tools without Java dependency

As of Dimensions 14.3.3 the web tools (Admin Console and the Web Client) do not need java installed. The web client uses a Java applet for version management operations in work areas, such as update and deliver.

Dimensions 9.1.3 If you attempt to connect (web client / admin console) and by mistake you type the wrong DB in the login details you will get the login page again and again without any error being reported, so you do not know what’s going on. Dim8 reported an error in this circumstances.
