Serena Dimensions server installations contain a Tomcat runtime used by the Serena Dimensions Webtools. These Tomcat runtimes come with a bundled JRE which may need to be updated in accordance with organization policy to support the DST changes for 2007 mandated by the US Energy Policy Act of 2005.
If the VM I-Net server is normally exclusively accessed using the Tomcat Web Server on one of its ports (e.g. 8080), an additional 3rd party Web Server will need to run on port 80 for the sole purpose of serving up the crossdomain.xml file. This could be IIS on Windows or Apache or UNIX.
2.4 ARM Web Server Requirements Apache Tomcat and Sun Microsystems JRE are included with ARM and installed during the ARM installation process. These are the Web server components of ARM.
NOTE Axis Version 1.4 is not the same as Axis2 Version 1.4. Web application servers that support Axis 1.4 include Adobe Cold Fusion, Apache® Tomcat ®, IBM WebSphere® Application Server (WAS), Oracle® WebLogic, Red Hat® JBoss®, Sun Microsystems Java System Application Server (JSAS), and many others. IMPORTANT! ZMF for Eclipse has not been tested with all the available servers that support Axis.
Once the file is updated , run the update _ tomcat _config.bat file in the same directory, and then restart Tomcat services from the SBM Configuration Utility on the server. Connecting with Java VisualVM
