Adding a new string to String ID's table give error if prefixed with IDS_
|
If you try and add a new string to the String IDS tables then if you prefix the name with IDS _ then you get an error similar to the following error: An error occurred while processing the last request. Please contact your administrator.

Serena SBM Work Center Search does not always return expected Item IDs

It is much more powerful than the old string search capability in the SBM WorkSpace (legacy) interface. IT has some different rules and concepts to understand to get the most from this search tool. It basically searches for “words” instead of strings.

Unable to add new string identifier records for global strings

Unable to add global string identifier for use in a template. The using Manage Tables to add a new record to String IDs it does not allow the user to select the application id, instead it defaults to 0. The goal is to create a string identifier that can be added to template to display that string .

The user lookup function in the Application Repository's "Add User" window does not return results for name searches, only Login IDs
|
When you go to the privileges tab in the Application Repository and bring up the Add User window, when performing a search, you will only get results if your search string matches Login IDs , not the name of the User. Since the search field is labeled "User Name", it is ambiguous as to whether that means the Login ID or the user's actual name.
