SBM (the NTLMAuthenticator) uses JCIFS library which uses the SMBv 1 protocol to provide sharing and authentication. In light of the recent WannaCry malware attacks, it has been recommended to disable SMBv1 services. Microsoft provides the following KB advising how to disable SMBv1:
