CMS-XML Can the Version Manager desktop client use Smart Card SSO (CAC login) through an RDP session?
Please make sure Version Manager is configured to use ActivClient's PKCS#11 provider DLL (see S138646 ). Note that VM 8.5.0 and earlier only support ActivClient 6.x.
CMS-XML Version Manager desktop client has grayed out Smart Card Login button on the SSO Login dialog (CAC login)
When using VM releases prior to 8.6, make sure the path does not contain a '(' character. If a directory in the path to the DLL has this character, use a short name generated for non-8dot3 file names to avoid having to enter it in the card.config file.
CMS-XML CAC/PIV/Smart Card: When users try to login, they get error "Invalid User ID or password"
ERROR 2: Error authenticating user against identity store The complete error is as follows: AEWSProvider72.isUserValid(358): Authentication of " EMAILADDRESS=jdoe@serena.com , CN=Doe.John.Mr.123588890, OU=Serena, O=Serena Software, L=Woodland Hills, ST=CA, C=US" failed against Web Services " http://myServer:80/gsoap/gsoap_ssl. dll ?sbminternalservices72 ": Invalid UserID or Password
CMS-XML DimCM: Git Connector SSO CAC: Activ Client library cannot be used due to a missing or invalid path variable. Please add acpkcs211.dll path to the git-dm configuration.
Open the above file in an editor and locate the line which reads: # Smart Card library path activclient-location=
