Logging in to remote node from PC Client is similar to dmcli AUTH command, so first try that: dmcli auth /netwoprk_node=<remote node> /user=<user id> /password=<password>

If remote node is UNIX, make sure all directories in the hierarchy from root to $DM_ROOT have x bit on owner, group and other. Make sure user account exists on the remote node, and authentication is not through LDAP If using TCB seucrity on remote node, make sure password is 8 chars or less.

When user tries to define a base database on a network node in Admin Console, the operation completes with no error, but basedb is not listed in the node . If user tries to add it again, Dimensions returns an error that this basedb already exists.
