There are different ways of doing this, all with their own advantages and disadvantages. For project databases accessed through the VM File Server available as of VM 8.0.x Any of the options listed below for project databases accessed through the file system can be used, but may not be necessary if the repository is accessed through a PVCS VM File Server and the goal is to move the data to another machine.

You can't do this directly, but the following ought to do the trick when usign the Desktop Client GUI: Open both PDBs in the desktop client. Select the source project in source project database.

Version Manager project databases are not version-specific. For the most part a project database created using PVCS Version Manager 6.5.0.0 and a project database created using PVCS Version Manager 8.4.0.0 will be the same. Exceptions to this are if the archives have been split.
