SBM: How to re-initialize Active Diagnostics (mongoDB) to recover disk space

If the Active Diagnostics database is becoming too large and take up too much disk space in the file system, you can empty the Active Diagnostics database (reinitialise it). For additional tips on controlling the size of mongoDB , see KB S142683 .

If the "Empty Logs" button does not clear enough space, you can re- initialize the logs back to their original size . The steps for this are in KB S141003 .

Additional space is allocated to a tablespace by providing a new operating-system file for use by that tablespace as a new datafile. The new file will be created and initialized by the RDBMS according to the size as specified by the DBA. These additional operating-system files may, of course, be placed on other disks on the Server machine; however, they must not be created on NFS mounted disks on UNIX.

This database stores the relationships that exist between items in separate applications. Click Change to specify a different directory. If you change the directory after the initial load is finished and the database has been successfully created, you can choose to either copy the database to another location (for example, if the size of the database requires that you specify a different directory) or you can initialize a new loading process in another location.
