With z/OS 1.9, IBM introduced a new PARMLIB parameter in the PROGxx member (NOREFRPROT/REFRPROT). When a load module is marked as refreshable (REFR), it provides a guarantee to the Operating System that the load module will not modify itself. Unfortunately IBM never enforced this restriction, and even though a load module may have been linked as refreshable, it is possible that the program may not have honored that guarantee and was actually updating program storage.

(2) The AE database information is correct and testing the connection is successful but the database has not yet been created in Administrator (typical for a new install if sample is not used). Again putting a valid file or license give no meaningful error and does an iis reset and clears license information and marks as an error. This should give a meaningful error that you need to create a database in the administrator.
