This document is for versions of SBM prior to 11.4. SBM 11.4 lets you set Tomcat memory allocation in the Tomcat Server section of the SBM Configurator.
After the upgrade Tomcat memory usage has shot up and it progresses steadily from the time it starts up until it becomes unusable due to slowness and requires restart.
Part of the cause is due to the SBM client not specifically releasing memory allocated for the SWF (Shock Wave player) when displaying Rich Graphical reports. Under normal circumstances, this memory would be released by the JavaScript Garbage Collector, but for large reports and heavy usage, it is possible that this may not happen often enough.
