CMS-XML DM: Upgrade 14.1.0 error ORA-01720: grant option does not exist for SYS.NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS
During an upgrade, in the portion that upgrades PCMS_SYS schema to 14.1.0, get an error like:
CMS-XML DimCM: Upgrade: DBI4502373E [Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 11.0][SQL Server]The specified schema name "SCHEMANAME" either does not exist or you do not have permission to use it
When performing a DMDBA upgrade command to Dimensions 14.4, the following error may occur: -- Preparing to upgrade PCMS_SYS to 14.3.3.. DBI0004538E DBIO: Database I/O error occurred
CMS-XML Dim10: Error detected in /opt/serena/dimensions/10.1/cm/dbms/common/grant_pcms_sys.sql, line 45
To fix this issue: Connect to the Oracle instance via sqlplus as user pcms_sys (default password is pcms_sys ): sqlplus pcms_sys/<password>
CMS-XML KM-Dim10: During dmdba upgrade get error: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist, Error detected in ...grant_pcms_sys.sql, line 15
To correct this, create the table and restart the upgrade operation: sqlplus pcms_sys /<password>@<dsn> SQL> CREATE TABLE ADMSYS_CERTIFICATES (
CMS-XML Dim10: Install on UNIX errors when specifying Oracle database on remote server.
SQL>create user pcms_sys identified by pcms_sys default tablespace pcms_data temporary tablespace pcms_temp; SQL> grant connect, resource, dba to pcms_sys ; Once install completes user should revoke DBA from pcms_sys
CMS-XML DMCM: How to re-create the PCMS_SYS user
SQL> create user pcms_sys identified by pcms_sys; SQL> grant connect, resource to pcms_sys ; Log into DMDBA as system and then as PCMS_SYS, so the connection to PCMS_SYS has the correct privileges:
CMS-XML DIM10: How to unlock or change PCMS_SYS password
sqlplus> alter user pcms_sys account unlock; sqlplus> grant connect, resource to pcms_sys ; sqlplus> commit;
CMS-XML User gets "Error: The schema PCMS_SYS does not exist on this database." trying to logon to DMDBA as PCMS_SYS
The error is caused by PCMS_SYS schema not having SELECT privilege on SYS.ALL_USERS The best solution is to grant this privilege to PCMS_SYS and any user that will be used when invoking dmdba It is also possible to invoke dmdba with --noschemacheck as in:
CMS-XML KM-Dim9: At login Error: failed to query database. (SQL-0036-73(00DD55A8) ORA-00942: table or view does not exist
To resolve this error, add the grants in the following ways to those newly imported base datrabases: Add grants on the pcms_sys database objects (adjust the path accordingly for the relevant Operating System) dmdba pcms_sys/pcms_sys@<service>
CMS-XML KM-Dim9: How to import a basedatase from a full system export file?
Now you are ready to perform the import of the basedatabase as follows: imp system/<password> file=<path:/filename.exp> fromuser=<basedatabasename> touser= <basedatabasename> buffer=100000 commit=y grants=n log=<path:/logfile.log> Once the import is complete, you will need to grant the requisite database table permissions within dmdba logged in as pcms_sys / pcms_sys @<alias>.
