Some users of the VM I-Net web client find that, after they have used the Association dialog during an Add Files , Checkout or Checkin operation, the requested operation is not performed, and the user is returned to the VM I-Net login screen instead. The behavior does not necessarily affect all users of the VM I-Net server. Although the behavior is fairly consistent for those users who are affected, sometimes operations complete without error.

When using Version Manager 6.5 and Trackerlink 6.0.x and performing associations on check in of a file ? if the connection to the Tracker database (Oracle, SQL Server, etc) has been lost there is no warning from Trackerlink. On a visual level the association completes.

When checking in a file via the VM 7.5 GUI with TrackerLink-GUI 7.5 activated with module association required, it is possible to circumvent the required association . On the TrackerLink Workfile Association screen, users can simply select the Cancel button, in which case an association is no longer required to complete the check-in process.
CMS-XML Associating multiple files with SBM on check in fails to pass file info to SBM for files with no extension
When performing a check in of multiple files where some files have extensions and others do not, the association succeeds on both the Version Manager (VM) side and the SBM side for the files with a file extension. For the files that have no extension, the new revision is created in VM but the association is not performed.
