How to use an embedded report to display a user's information on a form

You can use an embedded report to display additional information about a related item within the current items form.

When the server is setup to use Session Cookies and Windows Authentication, the "logon as another user " feature does not switch users properly. This causes embedded reports to no display on state forms.

Passing parameters (such as current user or current item) to embedded reports which use Query At Runtime

There are a set of parameters that represent "current" variables that display when entering { (in the query tab of an embedded report ) that begin with an underscore such as _RecordID and _UserID that will likely function better for most queries than attempting to point to a field that holds this data. Setting the report definition to show search filter in results will allow you to view what the parameters pass to the query, which will assist in constructing the combination of filter and query parameters for the desired results. When "user session time-out" is being used and a user uses "log on as another user" to impersonate another user then views an item that has a custom form with an embedded report, they will get logged out. When they log back in, they are no longer logged in as the other user .

There seems to be an issue with embedded reports with specifically relates to Distribution Reports. A distribution report can have many columns and, depending on the users in the organisation, the reports can have from 1 column up to 15 columns.

Navigation facts for Embedded reports on a customer SBM forms

Embedded report don't have the full navigation abilities that normally generated reports have, For features like the Next and Previous links the AE shell is required (which is absent for an embedded report). We have, however, provided a “Home” icon in the embedded mode that the user can click to get the AE full interface and from there user will have the all the standard AE functionality
