KM-Dim7: How to save temporary log files generated when using Dimensions commandline utility?

Most of the PVCS Dimensions commandline commands are deleted after the operation is submitted. There are two methods for retaining this information. Either of the options below should be performed on the server and the client you are issuing command from.

This error can occur when the incorrect Hostname and/or Host ID are referenced in the license file, serena.lic. To correct this, verify the Hostname and Host ID using the following command from the License Server directories: lmutil lmhostid

KM-Dim9: Will running the command GetPoolStats affect user response times (performance) on your Dimensions server?
|
No, this would not affect your user response times. The performance of the getpoolstats can be affected by what users logged into Dimensions are doing. i.e. if someone is logging in or fetching files from Dimensions and the getpoolstats command is run then the user performing the getpoolstats will be affected as the logged in users have priority.

For Dimensions 8.x and 9.1.x: When trying to run statistics through DMDBA, an error of 'You are not connected to a Dimensions Database' occurs or 'Error: You do not have the necessary privileges for this command' occurs. The above errors occur when logged into DMDBA as the system user or the basedatabase user.
