Tomcat catalina log shows Error "SEVERE: Error starting static Resources" when the File Server component was not installed

A configuration file for the merantfs redirector was accidentally included with the Serena VM Web Application base package, as opposed to only being included with the File Server-specific component. The error in the logs is not fatal, as it merely indicates that /merantfs could not be loaded (which is okay, since you opted to not install the File Server ), but to avoid the error you can rename the file: vm/common/tomcat/conf/PVCS/localhost/merantfs.xml

Login screen shows error "Could not load file or assembly 'Serena.SaaSUserDirectory.Mariner "

Users will see this error after using the Modify option for Mariner in Add and Remove Programs to add the Report Server component to an existing installation. In other words, the initial install was done using the "Typical" option, which does not include the Report Server component. When the user realizes this, they chose to Modify the install.

Simple like-SRC components cannot be built in ERO release packages

This type of component can be built without any issues in an ERO package in a ZMF 8.1.4.01 subsystem. Local traces of the problem also show this error in the ZMF Server task: PDS CMR5506I - Library Type LST has no target library type defined.

However, the root cause for the error message is most likely that the "Theme" Windows service is not running on your server. This can sometimes be disabled as part of a server lockdown process. You can temporarily start it to start the graphical installation, which is recommended!

This issue only occurs with SQL Server . When attempting various operations in the Destkop Client and/or .NET, the following errors can occur and can change slightly in text depending upon the action being done. In SBM Configurator > Component Servers we show checkboxes for IIS's and Tomcat's allowed protocols (Use HTTP on port and Use HTTPS on port)
