CMS-XML On Unix environment, when AddWorkFile fails, the archive gets created with no revisions and doesn't get deleted if using File Server with split on create
On Unix only, when an AddWorkFile action fails , the archive gets created with no revisions if the user lacks the privilege to check -in or assign the default promotion group to the initial revision. The empty archive gets deleted on a pdb accessed through a File Server but when using a Fileserver pdb with SPLIT ON CREATE enabled, the revision library component is left undeleted.

Have a Common Name (CN) or alternate DNS name matching the URL being used to access the server Be signed by a Certificate Authority (CA) known to the Java Runtime Engine (JRE) contained within VM (e.g VeriSign, DigiCert, GeoTrust, thawte, etc.) Not be expired

CMS-XML Connecting to PDB on FS from within an IDE throws "Access has been denied because your login account is invalid"
When using Version Manager 8.0.x with a PDB on a File Server , check the Path Map that is used to access the PDB to make sure Access Control Database and/or LDAP are not set. If either or both are set, and there is no explicit reason to have them enabled, unset both. This way, authentication will only happen at the PDB level and will work correctly from within the IDE as well.

CMS-XML DTK applications can hang on AIX when accessing archives that are located on a Version Manager File Server
, etc.). As the File Server libraries were written in C++, it is necessary to use an xlC-based C++ compiler variation to ensure the generated executable can correctly link to the shared File Server library. When this is not done, failures like the one shown above can occur.
CMS-XML VM error messages shown when the revision library for a split archive is missing
, first check KB article S139484 as the message shown by older VM releases is also shown for a more common scenario described there. For clients running VM 8.4.5 or newer, or if the release is older but the KB article above did not apply to you, make sure the File Server can locate the Revision Library directory for the split archive . You can use the Version Manager File Server Admin
CMS-XML VM error messages shown when the revision library for a split archive is missing a particular revision
The DaemonServer process is not able to extract the revision from the delta.d archive stored in the revision library directory. Check the File Server logs located in the directory VM_Install_Dir\vm\common\tomcat\logs located on the File Server for possibly causes.
