When user tries to add a new directory item into a particular project via Desktop Client , and a directory item with same exact name already exists in a different project, Dimensions client may return the following error: Create Item - COR0005345E Error: Item spec <PRODUCT>:<Item spec ID> is already used by an existing Item If user inputs item spec ID manually then it may return another error against item library filename:
In Desktop client open Edit->Find->Items. In the dialog presented enter any item filtering you require and then add the "Project folder " value where you want to add the items recursively from. Note that you need to make sure the value entered in this field has a trailing % character.

Set the workset directory in PC-Client to be a PDS value (.e.g STAL-ZOS-01::MERPC.MERPC.DATA) In the workset try and add the a PDS member STAL-ZOS-01::MERPC.MERPC.DATA(FILE) You will get the 2351 error message
3) Select 'Item' and expand the tree. 4) From the left panel, expand the System Defined tree and select 'Filename' and then select Add so the attribute is moved over or drag it to the right pane. 5) You can also choose where this column/attribute is displayed by selecting the up and down buttons.
You will probably notice that when you enter the slash after the workset filename it clears the item id and library filename fields in the Motif create item dialogue. You may wish to enter the name (without the slash) so that the item ID and lib filename are filled in automatically and then add the slash manually to both of them before adding it to the workset filename - that way the automatically filled in names are left alone.
You can do the following with project folders: Add a new project folder to the project structure and add items to that new folder . Change the location of a project folder.
