Scenario: Two machines running Dimensions 7.1 on UNIX(Solaris 8). From the server machine a fetch of items using Motif client and command line(pcms xcmd <filecontainingcommands>) items are successfully extracted to default workset location. Performing the same steps on second machine the fetch process appears to 'hang'.

By doing this no connection is made to the database in order to scan for new client upgrades and as a result the dmupgradesrv.exe process starts briefly and then stops again. The error messages above are caused by other Dimensions CM Client installations polling the server to see if there are any updates, and these connection attempts fail because the dmupgradesrv.exe
