A Dimensions CM server was successfully configured to use SDP over SSL with a self-signed certificate using the instructions in the System Administration Guide. However when item operations were attempted using the Web Client with the Web Client Tools installed the following errors occurred:
1. Ensure user access to Adminconsole directly, using the https address, like: https://hostname:8443/adminconsole 2. If you get the login screen above OK, Then please ensure that you connect back to Dimensions is ok 3. In Dimensions server, and make the following change to the server dm.cfg, before restarting:
Trying to call a web service over an SSL -enabled website (eg, https://localhost:80/gsoap/gsoap_ssl.dll?ttwebservices) results in the error : Error occurred during web service invocation:Couldn't connect to [https: web service location]. A call to the same web service with the location changed to a non-SSL site will connect and perform as expected.
There may be a situation where the ssl certificate being used to make a secure LDAP connection appears to be valid by all accounts yet the test connect still won't work. You may see an error like the following in the Event Viewer as a result.
