CMS-XML KM-Dim10: Reported Defect DEF102921: Issue Fixed in Dimensions 10.1.1: Java Web Client Item listings on large directories very slow with Latest Revisions filter
From the Items tab and the Directories tree, with 15,000 items in the top level directory it takes about 20 minutes to display the Contents listing. A different project with the 15,000 items divided between 10 sub directories of 1500 each, it takes about 12 seconds to list the contents of the sub directory. The desktop client displays the contents without much delay.

Following the upgrade to Dimensions 14.x it was found that using Java API to get structure history from a request was much slower than in previous releases. The operation takes 6 seconds to complete on a request with one change logged against it. Subsequent runs are faster, averaging around 1.2 seconds.

Attempting the item creation a second time will work presumably because the first attempt created the necessary metadata. This has been forwarded to R&D for correction in a future release.
