If you have the " Projects " widget added to a homepage you will get the following error if you create a brand new project and then add it to the Projects widget without first opening the Task Plan once. In order to avoid the error open the task plan view once so it populates the necessary fields in the background then you will be able to add that investment to the Projects picker on the homepage.
