Due to security enhancements that have been added to Java 7 as of update 25, the release of a new JRE on Oracle's website will automatically block certain features in the older versions of Java plug-ins that may be installed on your system. These blocked features will prevent the web client of certain Serena products from working, such as Dimensions CM and PVCS Version Manager. If you are using Dimensions CM, please see Knowledgebase Solution S140201
A change introduced by Sun in JRE 1.6.0 Update 10 (1.6.0_10) causes a number of problems when that JRE is used with the VM I-Net web client in VM releases prior to 8.2. This issue also exists in all Java Plug-in updates that have been released since.
Collage uses client-side JRE to run the Collage applet. The JRE must be upgraded to include the DST fixes. Although Collage 4.6 supports the Microsoft JVM, Microsoft is not releasing an updated JVM with the DST changes.

The certificates used to sign the Dimensions CM applets will expire on February 25th 2017. After this date users will get a Java security warning when logging into the Web Client or Adminconsole. (Functionality will be normal when a user acknowledges the warning and proceeds).
Add the server URL to the Exception Site List in Java Control Panel (Control Panel -> Java : Security) Press "I accept the risk and want to run this application".
Collage uses Java technology on the server as well as on the clients. To successfully support the 2007 DST changes, the Java software will need to be upgraded on the clients and the server. For complete details on how to upgrade the Collage server and client machines, see KB #A12 .
