It is also not possible to remove the auto update process from the Dimensions server, although the dfs/upgrade_config.dat file may be configured to prevent the dmupgradesrv process from connecting to a database, effectively disabling it.
This issue was caused by the user choosing to disable to dmupgradesrv .exe process on the server by removing the values for the following entries in %DM_ROOT%\dfs\upgrade_config.dat:
