Why do some email notifications show the From user in the email as the SBM computer name instead of the user? Like servername$@servername
Depending on the settings in Configurator for the Notification server itself you can can select that the From and Reploy to Address show as the user that ran the transition or last modifier etc. If that user doesn't have an email address in their profile then the From field looks like below instead of a real email address.

"Approve" and "Reject" buttons on email notifications are unresponsive
In case you are using "external" parameter as followed the guide, you need to set up the address for external links in SBM Configurator > Mail Services > Notification Server > under Link Settings. Otherwise, change the second parameter of email response template to "internal" for links that are accessible only inside the firewall.

Customizing Notification E-mail Templates for iPhone or iTouch
If any of your users access items using SBM Mobile on an iPhone or iTouch, you can configure the SBM e-mail notifications to include hyperlinks which will open SBM Mobile directly. This link makes it easier for iPhone users to access SBM , because they can use the enhanced SBM Mobile interface to interact with the item (instead of using the iPhone’s Web browser).
