Simply copying the licenses from the old system, or not doing anything after a virtual machine is moved, will render the existing licenses invalid. Without valid licenses the SLM server cannot launch, and as result products trying to use this sever will throw errors like:
Verify that the license keys are valid for the Host ID: The Host ID shows at the bottom of the License Manager program. Compare this to the Host ID in the SERVER line given at the top of the Serena.lic file. These should match the Host ID used to rehost the licenses , if a rehost was done.
