Installing the web client applet for PVCS Version Manager on UNIX and Linux does not give the option to install as a non-administrator

On non-Windows platforms, the user installing the applet needs to have permissions to write to the browser's installation directory, as the installer needs to put a shared library in there. A possible option would be to have a user with access to this directory (eg. "root") install the applet once.

A company has multiple servers running VM I-Net, but they are not all running the same release. Since the applet that gets installed on the client PC is version specific, can you access servers running different releases from a single client?

The section on “Using Netscape Navigator with UNIX” on page 21 only describes the option to manually install the applet . It should describe the other two options: run the UNIX client install script or use the Autoinstall feature. See the PDF on the CD for the complete procedures.
