2. Whilst the extended attribute is absolutely required, the ‘ COMP -FORMT’ attribute is something that you certainly do NOT want to see in the LISTCAT output for a VSAM master file. Alarm bells should start ringing if you see this generated by a LISTCAT of any of the master files:
