CMS-XML How do I create a new License Key for Collage / Mover or move the database server where Collage / Mover runs?
The three things we need as mentioned in the video are the following: The existing license key The old IP address of the database server that hosts the Administration database
CMS-XML Problem: The Tracker dll's found in your system path are not licensed
Setting a SYSTEM variable to reference the islv.ini or moving it back to the windir on the server would fix this problem. This is noted in section 2.5.x of the Tracker 6.0 readme file.

This will happen if the license server moves. Even though IT can keep the same server name the license uses the MAC address in validating licenses. If the license server moves then new licenses will need to be generated.

Based on your knowledge of your environment, you will need to decide what to do next. For example, if License Manager was recently moved to a new server, you will need to rehost the license keys (see KB S139654 ). If you are not sure what do to next, contact Serena Support .

After an upgrade or move of the SBM database, you are unable to Apply the changes in Configurator and the License Server information is not saved in Configurator. Opening the SBM System Administrator gives the following error: Database could not be opened.
CMS-XML SLM: Certain clients sometimes/consistently cannot connect to the License Server, especially from remote locations
If only a server name is specified, clients try to connect to that server by scanning for an SLM instance in the port range 27000-27009, waiting up to 100ms for a response on each port. If no response is received within that time, the next port is probed. Should a delayed response from a previously probed port come in after the timeout has expired, that response will get ignored as the SLM client has moved on to try the next port(s).
