CMS-XML SLM Error: Invalid license key (inconsistent authentication code)
still needs to list it as one of the values that gets returned, but it is OK for this HostID to not be the first one in that list. Instructions on removing the bad key can be found in Knowledge Base article S133890 .
CMS-XML SLM: Certain clients sometimes/consistently cannot connect to the License Server, especially from remote locations
Change the SLM server configuration so that the main (lmgrd) server is always using the same port. You can pick the default value of 27000. For detailed instructions , please see KB article S136346 .
CMS-XML PVCS Version Manager returns message that it could not connect to the specified license server, or that the license has expired
If no client workstations are able to successfully check out a license and the message persists, it's possible that the server is not running properly and troubleshooting help will be needed from Serena Support. On the Knowledgebase there is an article at S128639 that has 2 scripts attached, one for UNIX/Linux and one for Windows, and instructions on how to run the scripts. Follow the directions, zip or tar up the resulting output and send it to Microfocus Support for analysis (create a new case if you don't have one already).
CMS-XML KM-Dim10: Eval install provides an error of '...Feature has expired (-10,234)...'
Once the key is generated, you will need to cut/paste it into the Serena License Manager utility as described in the Licensing Quick Start Guide , dm_licensing_quick_start.pdf, Step 4, Pages 6 - 7. This will also shutdown and restart your License Server to re-read the newly acquired license.
