How to setup Oracle RAC with SBM
Oracle 9i does not use SCAN or VIPs. Transparent Application Failover (TAF) control is done via the Oracle Net client. SBM/TeamTrack does not use the failover-aware API calls from the Oracle Call Interface (OCI). Instead, failover has been accomplished by setting up Oracle Connection Manager (OCM) and specifying in the ODBC connection the OCM server as the Oracle client.
