CMS-XML MAXSPC/MINSPC and VMAXSPC/VMINSPC
The definitions for MAXSPC/MINSPC and VMAXSPC/VMINSPC in the global table source do not match the IOO User's Guide documentation. Which is correct, the source or the documentation?
CMS-XML Disabling Dynamic Memory Management (DMM)
3 ways exist to disable DMM if it has been enabled with SETRGN=YES and DMMCNTL= GLOBAL in the Global Options Table. 1) GBT SETRGN=NO Specified in the DCF rules to disable DMM processing.
CMS-XML IOO311: EREGION and ELIMIT keywords not documented
The EREGION and ELIMIT keywords used in the global table are not documented. The comments on page 70 say that they are VSAM optimization parameters, but testing suggests that they actually apply to DMM above the 16M line. It looks as if any job that is not bypassed entirely in the DCF table has its above-the-line user region increased to EREGION (or maybe to EREGION plus ELIMIT?).
CMS-XML DMMCNTL or SETRGN - which takes precedence?
SETRGN Global parameter takes precedence over the DMMCNTL parameter. The EREGION, REGNHWM, and LSQA parameters are DMM storage settings and do not control whether DMM is activated or not. Thus, DMM will always be inactive if SETRGN=NO is specified.
