However, the following is some sample JCL that can be used to capture the output of a startool session to a dataset, omitting the messages you don't want. Refer to chapter 'Batch Processing' in the " User Guide " for an explanation of the parameters below.

When you execute FDM online commands in batch, the program executed should be Batch TSO which is PGM=IKJEFT01. Refer to section 'Batch Processing' in the FDM User's Guide . Thus, your JCL should look similar to the following.

Commands LISTF and MASK are ISPFMODE commands. In the User's Guide , it states that LISTF puts items in an ISPF table. Thus, to process this command in batch TSO, your JCL must be setup properly to invoke the appropriate datasets.

As documented in the USER Guide under "VSAM Data Sets", FDM supports VSAM data sets that are cataloged. Only VSAM data sets cataloged in ICF (Integrated Catalog Facility).

As part of the setup for IPCS, a TSO command is shown to first allocate the IPCS VSAM directory data set with a command name of IPCSINIT. Then, the command IPCSEXEC is shown using the PGM format provided in the IPCS User Guide . Also shown is the format for calling the ISPF tutorial dialog with the help panel name passed in the PARM parameter.

FDM: PDSEAUTH in LINKLIST

The Install Guide states that PDSEAUTH must be installed in the Linklist in order to enable certain functions. However, in accordance with MVS rules, APF-authorized library need not be in the link list. Is there a requirement for PDSEAUTH being in the link list or is just being APF authorized sufficient?
