When a password is entered incorrectly, users occasionally click multiple times on the project dropdown - thinking that the fault lies with the dropdown list rather than the password. Three clicks on the project drop down is treated as three login attempts - and the password is disabled.
Users use RM over time and eventually their account is locked out. The RM admin has to unlock their account via RM Manage and assign another jibberish password with random key strokes. They use CAC and SSO but It looks lke RM is using passwords or requiring to enter them for user accounts.
When you are prompted to enter the license server information during the product installation of VM releases prior to 8.3.0.0 as well as all Tracker releases, leave off the Port ... file will become fairly static because all existing users will have an entry in the file. If you want to enable or disable the auto-add user feature for any license using the Serena License Manager, be sure to do this on the master server and copy the licmgr.ini
Sometimes it may be necessary to replace or remove an invalid or deactivated license key in SLM. While the License Manager administration GUI provides the ability to add new keys, at this time it does not provide the ability to remove keys that have been entered previously.
