Password Rule settings 'Accept changes' is not enabled at database level after changing the setting information. The user has to select a project under the database and needs to do some changes to enable the button.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION: Using RM Manage - Change Project/Admin's Password dialog. When "Use the same password ..." box is checked, you get a confusing Alert Warning that says: "Project Admin's passwords do not match." As soon as the message appears, the password is then added to Oracle password fields, and the user has to know to press the OK button again since the message is premature.
After the upgrade to 11.2.1 it is not possible to change the password for users who have not logged in yet. When a user logs in for the first time after the upgrade his/her password is re-encrypted automatically and the value for ENC_TYPE in IC_ADMIN | ADM_SINGLE_USERS changes from 0 to 1. After that the user's password can be changed without any problem.
It is possible to modify ICADMIN and ICPROJECTS passwords from RM Manage by right clicking on the database and selecting change password . If the project password is unknown or 'broken' please follow the instructions in the attached file to change to password to one that is known.
From RM Manage, right-click on the project (probably set at 3.7.2) and choose ' Change Project Password ' - at the top of the drop down. Change the project and the project ADMIN passwords and then use 'Backup / Restore' functions to restore a saved project account or project schema.
