OE adds "?datatype=JBossWSMessage" parameter to the URL making external WS calls. Some Web Services running in some customers' environments dislike this and cause the call to fail If you are still seeing this problem in 10.1.2 or are unable to upgrade, please contact Support for a possible HotFix (version restrictions may apply).
A new js library was created for newer versions to improve performance and reduce the likely hood that this problem would occur. It was also back ported to a hotfix for SBM 10.1.1.4.
During the installation of SBM, you might receive a message telling to apply a Microsoft hot fix : download and install KB981929 or KB972397 before upgrading.
