When an installation has disabled ActiveX controls in Internet Explorer, for whatever reason, this can prevent the correct operation of the I-Net client. In some cases, it will even prevent the download of the applet .

start the browser and connect to the Tracker Server page and then click on the install_netscape link. If you have check-marks in both boxes shown, then proceed with the installation of the applet , answering "yes" or "grant" to any questions. Once this is done, all users will have the applet available for use.

Opening one instance of the browser creates a lockfile. If another user attempts to use the Tracker I-net applet the lock file is already in use so the error occurs. There is a knowledge base article at http://help.netscape.com/kb/consumer/19991108-6.html, about having multiple profiles on UNIX that basically says it is not possible.
