As of 8.2, users are not able to modify the workfile description by selecting the file and going to the Properties dialog. The changes to the description for the file should be retained after clicking "OK" but the value reverts to what it was previously. This works fine up through 8.1.4.2 but does not work for 8.2 or later

The description will be applied to all selected files. (This description displays in the PVCS Properties dialog box. See “Reviewing Properties” on page 73 for more information.)
