The PVCS Version Manager manages project versions and stores a backup copy of your project. It can be used to check a project in and out, and to open read-only copies of earlier versions of the project. You must close an open project in Requisite Pro before you can use the PVCS Version Manager.
Verify that the user does indeed have correct network rights to the archives. Wait awhile- it could be anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes, depending on network traffic and the speed of the backup device. Once the backup software has backed up the archives it will release the lock on them.

Given that any developer worth his salt has at least seven copies of his file, stored on his local hard drive, on the network, at home or on floppies: 1.Copy the most recent version to a backup name/location. 2.Rename the earliest version of the file to the real file name.
