CMS-XML KM-Dim9: How Dimensions determines where to send email notifications
Starting with Dimensions 8 you could register e-mail addresses in Dimensions which would then be used in the To field and passed to whichever SMTP client was defined by the DM_MAILS or PCMS_MAILS variable, (pcmsmail on Windows or mail/mailx on Unix by default). For earlier versions, or in the absence of an e-mail address in the Dimensions user profile, the registered user name will be used.

CMS-XML Dim2009R1: Using email templates and variables to customize Dimensions email notifications
some familiarity with html is required to make most changes to the templates. If all change requests have an attribute named SEVERITY and we would like to see this in the template, we add it to the template with the following steps:
CMS-XML Dim10 - User receives "You were the originator of this request" e-mail when request is actioned to closed state
(ie. From: Open To: <blank>) This e-mail is sent even if the notify originator on close is turned to off for the project type. This occurs only when the user is subscribed to the "New pending Request for me" notification in the Adminconsole and only when the request has it's required attributes filled in prior to actioning the request from the second to last state to the last state.
