Following a restart of the Dimensions listener deployment jobs started to stall with just the status "Submitted" when viewed in the Deployment tab of Web Client. CMS-XML Dim CM 12.2: Deployment jobs are submitted but stop executing for no apparent reason
This is a clear sign that something has happened on the database server to cause the connection to fail. The rest of Dimensions will behave quite normally when the database is accessible, the listener will reconnect, users will be able to perform all other item operations, it's just that deployment jobs will never be executed.
