When using the 'Auto-generate identifier' attribute on item types. When you select PF5 from the ISPF Client, it fills in a value for the " Item Specification" sub panel "ID" field. If not corrected before invoking the create, it causes the error:

When perform 'Undo check-out' thru ISPF, the item is not 'undone'. The ISPF 'undo check-out' confimation panels shows up, but when pressing <enter> I am simply returned to the previous panel - and the item is still checked out (Status = $TO-BE-DEFINED).

To work-around this issue, add the locked date to the related item view. This can be done in the customizing views window found at: Tools => Customize Views => Views (tab) => Requests (right hand panel) => Items (sub tree under Requests). Then: Expand the 'System Defined" attribute tree in the right hand panel , Scroll down to the value "Locked Date" Add it to the left hand panel By default this attribute is already added to the view.
