CMS-XML Installer fails with "PPM Reporting feature is dependent on SQL 2008 R2 Reporting Services" if running SQL Report Server 2008 R2 SP1
1. Launch the PPM 10.2 (any patch). 2. Choose to do a custom install. 3. Choose to install the Reporting component .

In the right-hand pane scroll down to the Role Services section, and click "Add Role Services". Go through the wizard, making sure to select the "IIS 6 Management Compatibility" components . Restart the PPM installation.

After applying the patch you should be able to open the task plan and publish it which in turn should allow the Nightly Post Job to finish. The difficult part with this is unless you know ahead of time which task plan is causing the nightly post job to fail you may have to get a copy of the PPM database to support to locate it.

Users will see this error after using the Modify option for Mariner in Add and Remove Programs to add the Report Server component to an existing installation. In other words, the initial install was done using the "Typical" option, which does not include the Report Server component. When the user realizes this, they chose to Modify the install.
