CMS-XML Error "You must be logged into your Windows domain before logging in to the product"
It should show you that user's login name as domain_name\user_name, i.e. acmedomain\jsmith. If you get prompted for a username and password, this means that the user's domain account doesn't have File permissions to the folder where the PPM virtual directory points to (by default, this is C:\Program Files \Serena\PPM\Mariner). By default the Local Users group has access to this folder but you may need to add the Domain\Users group to that folder as well.

CMS-XML Transaction was deadlocked... during concurrency actions: Copy Dimension and modifying of Financial Details.
I used complained customer's DB - Sensis Feb of 2013. Project request: Sensis\Sensis Production\Project Requests\ Product Requests\ROI Network Management.
CMS-XML Using windows authentication provider doesn't offer which db to pick from.
If you use the Windows Authentication provider the point of it is to automatically log you into Mariner as the user you're logged into windows as. That works fine the 2009 R1 version of Mariner but it works too well in that if you have more than one connection setup so you would normally be able to pick which database to login to on the login screen you are now not even offered the choice of db's and just logged straight into the first one in the list.
CMS-XML What do all the scheduled jobs do in PPM/Mariner and when should they be run?
This will move timesheet data into the task plans and work items views causing actual hours and cost to be recalculated. It is designed so that persons viewing the product can see up-to-date timesheet and financial data. It can be run manually in order to see completely up-to-date timesheet data in task plan and resources views. (all data submitted since the last run will be moved into system).
CMS-XML Using the Microsoft Project Connector with Mariner
The Mariner Connector product makes it possible for an organization to combine the advantages of the detailed project planning features of Microsoft Project with the investment management features of the Mariner product . The Mariner Connector product provides tools that you can use to map attributes between Microsoft Project and Mariner, publish and refresh these attributes, and to manage your resources. These features are available via the Mariner Connector toolbar and the Mariner menu in Microsoft Project.
CMS-XML Need to show version specific what's new page.
Problem is this currently shows the latest version of the product like 2010 R1 For customers still running 2008 R3 or 2009 R1 this what's new screen also comes up which is bad and causes a lot of confusion for users looking for these new features. We need to either ship the whats new pages and install them as part of the install or make unique what's new pages on our server to point to.
CMS-XML After upgrading PPM, the integration with SBM no longer works
