An HTTP 404 error can be attributed to a mistyped URL (Uniform Resource Locator ) or attempting to access a file or folder on the web server that does not exist. It can also be attributed to incorrect or nonexistent CE Application Mappings for the .CWR extension in Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS).
